"Egyptian Identity Drawing on Bags: Aya Muhammad Reda's Artistic Journey and the Beauty of Egypt"

Aya Muhammad Reda is an Egyptian girl who has had a passion for art since she was young. She didn't just indulge in her hobby but instead worked hard to develop her skills and techniques. She started drawing on various mediums such as paper, clothing, and handmade bags, all of which were made in Egypt. Aya preferred to incorporate pharaonic drawings into her artwork, drawing inspiration from the ancient Egyptian civilization. She used these drawings to convey specific meanings that she wanted to share with her audience.

Aya Muhammad Reda, a law graduate, spoke about the beginning of her journey with the art of painting on canvas and women’s bags, where she said: "I love drawing from my childhood, and I used to study art, but because of my group, I studied at the Faculty of Law, and I felt frustrated at the time and stood and drew, and after how many years, I felt nostalgic and started drawing again."

And about her tendency to draw pharaonic drawings on hand-made bags, she said: "Any country would be keen to reflect its identity on clothes and jewelry, and from here I thought of reflecting my identity on handmade bags made with Egyptian hands by drawing pharaonic drawings to highlight the art and beauty that were present in ancient Egypt".

Aya wanted to send messages to women through the pharaonic drawings on the bags that add to her elegance and encourage her to develop herself. Where she said: "The drawings are all inspired by the most famous monuments of our country, such as the key to life, which was a symbol of life for the pharaohs; the Egyptian scarab with its beautiful distinctive colors; the eye of God Horus; the lotus flower, a symbol of beauty and love; and Queen Nefertiti, who is the most powerful woman in Egypt, as a message to support Egyptian women and urge her to be strong, beautiful, and positive.

She continued, "The bags she creates are made of natural Egyptian leather and designed by Egyptian craftsmen. She hopes that her bags will reach people all over the world so she can convey her message and showcase the pride Egyptians have for their civilization and identity. Through her art, Aya aims to inspire people to appreciate the beauty and richness of the history of Egypt. Additionally, she believes that her bags can serve as a form of encouragement for tourism in Egypt, as people who see them will remember the country and its antiquities and may be motivated to plan Egypt trips to see them up close.
