Promotional Tours by Dr. Zahi Hawass to Boost Cultural Tourism in Egypt
The Egyptian General Authority for Tourism Promotion is organizing a series of promotional tours for Dr. Zahi Hawass in several tourist markets to promote cultural tourism Egypt trips during September.
This comes as an investment in the wide fame enjoyed by the
archaeologist and former Minister of Antiquities, Dr. Zahi Hawass, to publicize
Egypt travel packages internationally.
These promotional tours come within the framework of the
efforts made by the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities, represented by the
authority, to promote Egypt's classic tours and its
various types and tourism products, especially Egypt day tours and cultural tourism products.
Dr. Zahi Hawass will begin these tours with a visit to
the Baltic countries (Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania) during the period from
September 10 to 13, and then he will travel to Copenhagen, the capital of
Denmark, for two days.
Dr. Zahi Hawass indicated that these tours are an
excellent opportunity to promote Egypt tour itineraries,
especially the cultural tourism product that characterizes the Egyptian tourist
destination, adding that the ancient Egyptian civilization and its ancient
monuments are in the hearts of all peoples of the world and that our ancestors,
the Pharaohs, contributed through the legacy they left us. Civilization is
astonishing the world and increasing the flow of tourist traffic coming to Egypt shore excursion from various countries of the world to get to know this
ancient civilization and enjoy Egypt's luxury tours and watch
its majestic monuments.
Dr. Zahi Hawass indicated that during these tours he will
hold several lectures, during which he will review the most important
archaeological discoveries that were recently discovered in Egypt, including
the discovery of the golden city in Luxor, which
was chosen as the most important archaeological discoveries in the world for
the year 2021, and the latest discoveries in the Saqqara antiquities area. And the secrets of the pyramid of Khufu and the Sphinx and the discovery of the mummy of
Queen Hatshepsut, in addition to sending a message to have an Egypt family tour and enjoy a unique tourist experience by enjoying the
tourist and archaeological ingredients, patterns, and various tourism products

Amr El-Kady, CEO of the Egyptian General Authority for
Tourism Promotion, confirmed that these promotional tours come in light of the
continuous and fruitful cooperation between the ministry and Dr. Zahi Hawass
and the efforts he is making to promote Egyptian tourism. Hawass in July 2022
in Germany, to promote the Egypt Christmas tours, in
coordination with the Egyptian Embassy in Berlin and in cooperation with the
Egyptian Tourist Office in Berlin.
He explained that the markets of the Baltic countries
were chosen to be the target markets during this tour in implementation of the
ministry's plan to target new tourist markets, which contributes to attracting
more incoming tourist traffic for Egypt Easter tours and
reaching 30 million tourists by the end of 2028, appreciating the great support
provided by the Egyptian ambassadors to other countries. Sweden,
Finland, and Denmark for these tours' accomplishments.
Dr. Mohamed Atta, Director of the Central Office for North
European and Baltic Countries Markets at the Egyptian General Authority for
Tourism Promotion, mentioned that alongside these tours, various cultural and
media activities will take place. These include a press conference featuring
Dr. Zahi Hawass, a renowned figure in the field of archaeology; a public
lecture; and a special gathering for esteemed individuals and industry experts
from the tourism sector. These events are being organized in collaboration with
Egypt group tour operators operating in these
markets.
A press conference by Dr. Zahi Hawass and a public
lecture will also be organized at the University of Copenhagen in cooperation
with the Association of Egyptologists in Denmark and the national carrier Egypt
Air in Copenhagen. The authority will also arrange further visits for Dr. Zahi
Hawass to Japan and Portugal.
