"Swimming with dolphins" is a pleasure for European tourists in Marsa Alam, Egypt
The city of Marsa Alam, south
of the Red Sea Governorate in Egypt, is
witnessing the arrival of large numbers of tourists from several different
countries, most of them European, on Egypt tours.
These numbers arrive in the Marsa Alam area to practice diving as well as
snorkeling, which is witnessing great demand, especially in the areas of
dolphins and sharks known as Marsa Alam.
The Samadai area, also known as Dolphin House, holds a special place in the hearts of visitors. It boasts the
largest concentration of dolphins in the Middle East and ranks among the top
three locations worldwide. This horseshoe-shaped area is adorned with vibrant
coral reefs, creating a breathtaking backdrop for encounters with these
intelligent and playful creatures. During their Egypt travel packages, tourists can witness dolphins in their
natural habitat, swim alongside them, and even capture unforgettable moments
through photos.
For his part, Ahmed Ghallab, Director of the Northern Islands Reserve in the Red Sea Reserve, said that the Samadai Reserve in Marsa Alam is ranked third in the world and first in the Middle East and Africa for the largest concentrations of dolphin schools, resembling a horseshoe in shape and characterized by different coral reefs, and that area was declared for almost 23 years. It has been considered a natural area because it contains the largest concentration of bottlenose and spinner dolphins in Africa and the Middle East and the third largest in the world.
It is worth noting that there are various Marsa Alam day tours departing from Marsa Alam, such as the snorkeling trip at Hamata Islands from Marsa Alam and the snorkeling trip at Port Ghalib from Marsa Alam. The distance between Samadai and Port Ghalib is not far; you can visit both sites during your Egypt day tours to have an enjoyable time.
The director of the Northern Islands Reserve added that
the Nature Reserve Administration is managing this area to preserve marine
creatures there, as tourist boats are prevented from reaching the shallow
waters in the morning hours during Egypt shore excursions due to
the presence of dolphin mothers and their young in the morning.
The area was also divided into different areas, including
Area A for dolphin resting areas, which no one is allowed to enter, Area B for
diving only, and Area C for parking boats.
Whether you're seeking thrilling underwater adventures,
historical exploration, or simply a tranquil beach getaway, Marsa Alam has
something to offer. With its commitment to preserving the natural environment
and providing exceptional experiences for visitors, this destination continues
to enchant and captivate travelers on their Egypt Christmas tours and Egypt Easter tours,
leaving them with memories to treasure for a lifetime.
