Development Projects in Luxor and Aswan for Enhancing Egypt's Tourist Experience
The Egyptian Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities is actively involved in various development projects aimed at enhancing the Egypt tour experience at archaeological sites and museums in Luxor and Aswan governorates during their Egypt travel packages. This aligns with the national strategy for tourism development in Egypt. Projects include careful restoration work on tombs and temples, the installation of information boards, the creation of visitor paths, the development of bathroom facilities, and the provision of wooden pergolas to increase the efficiency of services provided to visitors.
Dr. Mustafa Waziri, Secretary General of the Supreme
Council of Antiquities, said that work is underway on these projects in
parallel, which contributes to their completion as soon as possible. This
confirms the keenness of the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities, represented
by the Supreme Council of Antiquities, to provide distinguished tourist
destinations for tourists coming for Egypt day tours and to
implement the national strategy for tourism development. Which was launched by
the Ministry.
In this context, Brigadier Engineer Hisham Samir,
Assistant Minister of Tourism and Antiquities for Antiquities and Museums
Projects, made an inspection tour of the ongoing projects in Luxor and Aswan
governorates to inquire about the most recent developments in them and to
monitor the work's progress.
In Luxor Governorate, the Luxor daytour included the areas of the Valley of theKings and Queens, Deir El-Medina, Deir El-Bahari,
Qurna, and Temple of Medinet Habu, in which the development
work comprises some meticulous restoration work on the nearby tombs and
temples, information boards at archaeological sites, pathways for visitors,
restroom development, and the construction of wooden pergolas as a resting area
for both tourists and Egyptians while on Egypt classic tours. He was
also keen to follow up on the progress of work on the electronic ticket gate
system to facilitate the entry and exit of Egyptian visitors and tourists.
As part of the Egypt luxury tour,
visitors had the opportunity to explore the renowned KarnakTemples located on the eastern mainland. The tour included an insightful
visit to witness the ongoing restoration efforts in the area. Notably, the
restoration work focused on the meticulous preservation of the Great Hypostyle
Hall and the installation of a new wooden covering for the eastern section of
the Great Southern Hypostyle Hall. Additionally, the paths for visitors were
replaced and renewed with sandstone floors, ensuring a seamless and immersive
experience. The tour also included a visit to the Luxor Museum, where efforts for its development and enhancement were observed.
In Aswan Governorate, the Aswan day tour included a visit to the Edfu Temple and a
follow-up on the exterior wall and floor preparation work being done for the
parking areas for cars and tourist vehicles in order to facilitate the entry
process for visitors during their Egypt Nile cruse tours, as well
as work to improve the effectiveness of the services offered to guests, as well
as the preparation of the fire room and the creation of two contemporary
firefighting and lighting networks in keeping with the temple's archaeological

The Egypt group tour also
included the project to develop the Unfinished Obelisk, the
Kalabsha Temple, and the Philae Temple, the development work of which included refining the
general site, creating a ticket room, and preparing visiting itineraries for

as interior lighting works, the general site, and the surrounding area, in
addition to inspecting the Nubian Museum and
following up on the work. It includes works to raise the efficiency of the
museum’s central air conditioning system, the efficiency of the museum’s
specialized and service lighting network, two display screens, and the
efficiency of some stone and wooden corridors.
These ongoing projects reflect Egypt's commitment to
