The London Tourism Exchange: Captivating British Travelers to Egyptian Pharaonic Wonders and Idyllic Beaches
British tourism is one of the most important inbound tourism markets for Egypt, as it comes in fourth place after the main tourist markets for Egypt. Therefore, the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities is keen to participate every year in the London Stock Exchange or the London Tourism Exhibition to promote and discuss increasing Egypt tours from the English market.
Egypt participates with a pavilion in the London Tourism
Stock Exchange, which is one of the largest pavilions participating in the
exhibition, and is keen to ensure that it befits the reputation of Egypt’s
tourism and Egypt travel packages in terms of dazzling and
the use of modern technology in tourism promotion methods. The Ministry of
Tourism and Antiquities focuses on promoting cultural Egypt's Nile
cruise tours, represented in Luxor, Aswan, and Cairo.

Hurghada, Marsa Alam, Sharm El Sheikh, and Alexandria, because
the English tourist is a fan of the Pharaonic civilization, the moderate and

The London Tourism Exhibition and Exchange (WTM) was
launched on Monday, November 6, with the participation of many tourist
countries, including Egypt, where the Egyptian Ministry of Tourism and
Antiquities announced its participation. It is considered one of the largest
tourism exhibitions in the world and was held in the British capital from
November 6 to 8.
The London International Tourism Exchange “World Travel
Market” is one of the most important international tourism exhibitions, in
which the most important tourism decision-makers around the world, major Egypt day tour operators, and tourism and travel agents from various
countries of the world participate. It is attended by many interested visitors
and specialists in the field of tourism and travel, in addition to the large
public and media participation during the exhibition period.
Egypt, represented by the Ministry of Tourism and
Antiquities, participates annually in this important exhibition because it is
one of the most important international tourism exhibitions and one of the most
important professional gatherings of partners in the tourism industry and the
promotion of Egypt classic tours, as the most important
tourism decision-makers around the world and major tour operators and tourism
and travel agents from various countries of the world participate in it. It is
attended by many interested visitors and specialists in the field of tourism
and travel.
The Egyptian Minister of Tourism and Antiquities, Ahmed
Issa, is holding official meetings with some of his counterparts participating
in the exhibition, as well as employees of British tourism and airline
companies, in addition to media meetings with a number of the most important
English media outlets, during which he explains the steps and facilities that
the ministry is taking to increase incoming Egypt luxury tours during
the coming period, such as Egypt Christmas tours and Egypt Easter tours and the investment opportunities available in the
tourism sector and the good tourism experience that tourists experience during
their Cairo day tours, as well as the Ministry’s
strategy to reach the number of tourists arriving in Egypt to 30 million
tourists by 2028.
Sharm El-Sheikh International Airport received the first
British Airways flight after a hiatus that lasted for many years, and the
airport is scheduled to receive four flights per week during the coming period.
The Egyptian General Authority for Tourism Promotion, in
cooperation with the Sharm El-Sheikh international airport
authorities, was keen to receive the first British Airways flights to welcome
the tourists and provide souvenirs and tourist publications, wishing them
enjoyable Sharm El-Sheikh excursions in the
city of peace.
The Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities launched an
advertising campaign to promote Egypt group tours during the English Premier League matches,
the first matches of which began on August 12 and will continue until May 19,
2024.
Amr El-Kady, the CEO of the Egyptian General Authority for
Tourism Promotion, announced that their advertising campaign includes
two-minute commercials for each match, which will be displayed on electronic
screens in the stadiums where the matches take place. These commercials will be
broadcast on specialized English channels, reaching millions of
English-speaking football fans around the world.
The attaché at the Egyptian Tourist Office in London,
Mohamed Mohsen, explained that these advertisements aim to promote promising
Egyptian tourist destinations (Marsa Alam and New
Alamein), in addition to promoting the cultural tourism product in Abu Simbel in Aswan
Governorate.
Overall, British reports and newspapers indicated that
Egypt has become a popular destination for British tourists, especially since Egypt family tours to the country of the Pharaohs have become a completely
appropriate and low-cost budget for British tourists in the current year 2023.
